Miso soup is also served in all Japanese restaurants and it's so simple to make at home!
Preparation time: 5 minutes
serve: 4 heads
What do we need?
- Miso soup pack or Miso paste
- Dry seaweed
- Silk tofu (I need this particular one for soup, it's nice and soft)
- Sesame oil (optional)
- Spring onion (optional)
All ingredients are available in asian groceries.

For Miso paste i recommend the brand below.
In the miso pack, you will have a flavor pack (include dry tofu, dry spring onion and dry seaweed) and miso paste.
1. Soak your dry seaweed with cold water for 4-6 minutes or 1 minute in hot water (It's obvious living in a busy life style, I chose the shortest solution - hot water! easy!)
2. drain your seaweed, prepare for later
3. Cut tofu for in desired small cubes $1.30
4. Add boiling water in pot, following by 2 pack of miso paste (or 2 heap spoons of miso paste) and silk tofu. Bring it boil then add the expanded seaweed and the flavor pack from the miso package.
Once is boil, it's cooked and ready to eat.
I like to add couple of drops of sesame oil once is done.
Enjoy!
